INSTALLATION AND START-UP ASSISTANCE


A sensible approach to planning a proper installation will help to have easier start-up, long term operation, and more simplified maintenance.

A typical Installation includes but, not limited to the following considerations:

  • System Layout.

  • Enclosures and Enclosure Layout that conforms to NEMA standards.

  • Environmental considerations.

  • Placement of Components such as PLCs, Drives, Power Supplies, Starters, and other Electro-Mechanical components.

  • Duct and Wiring Layout.

  • Grounding.

  • System Power.

  • Safety Circuitry.

  • Input/Output Installation that includes Wiring considerations, I/O Module placement, Procedures for Wiring to the Modules, and Special Considerations for connecting Leaky Inputs, Inductive Loads Suppression, Fusing Outputs as needed, and Shielding.

A typical Start-up includes but, not limited to the following steps:

  • Pre-Start-Up Procedures to protect people and equipment.

  • Static Input Wiring Check.

  • Static Output Wiring Check.

  • Pre-Start-Up Program Check.

  • Dynamic Checkout.
